  1. Best plagiarism checker tool!

There are plenty of them but most of them are not useful for students. But before throwing light upon some of them, I would like to address a much important question.

Similarity checkers are often misinterpreted as plagiarism checkers . Plagiarism is a crime. It is like copying or stealing someone’s intellectual property without even telling him (her).

Similarity checking is not plagiarism detection. No software can actually say if you are plagiarizing your content or not. You can simply use any search Engine or use any software to check if some part of your work is present somewhere else either.

But to maintain the context of the answer, I will add mine.

What is the best plagiarism checker or similarity checker?

The question has been asked for the plagiarism checkers for text. But plagiarism can be at many different places. For example, plagiarism in music is way more conventional than plagiarism in text content. But most of the tools address such plagiarism are not publicly available as a software product.

I came across several good plagiarism detection software like Turnitin, Grammarly, Urkund and Copyscape. Finding best among them is not that hard.

Best Plagiarism Checker for Schools and Organizations

If you can afford and you are involved with deep research work, going with Turnitin or Urkund will be the most suitable option. At the same time, PlagiarismCheckerX can be a great alternative to both of them as it is less costlier and gives great flexibility.

Grammarly is also closely working with the universities and schools which can be a great option for middle schools.

    Best Plagiarism Checker for Students

Students don’t need Turnitin or other gigantic tools. They are of no use. Many big companies ask for money and deliver Turnitin plagiarism reports which is of no use and even dangerous. If you are writing an original article, you only need to check for accidental plagiarism. Grammarly or PlagiarismCheckerX will be the best software in such case.

Best Plagiarism Checker for Creative Writers and Professionals

To avoid plagiarism in images, you can use free search engines like Tineye or reverse google image search APIs. To detect and avoid plagiarism in text, Grammarly, ProWritingAid, Copyscape or PlagiarismCheckerX will be the best options.

What plagiarism checker tool should you choose?

Anyone, which suits your budget. But don’t look for the free ones. I came across multiple cases in my research when free software were leaking content to the other companies. For images, you can rely on free tools unlike texts.

  2. What is the best plagiarism checker tool!

Before I list out some useful tools, it is worth understanding that similarity checker is not plagiarism checker. Tools can only give you the idea that an individual piece is available somewhere else. It is up to you and your professor to judge a work as plagiarized one or original. However, it definitely helps to run reports against the right tools to stay away from pitfalls. There are so many plagiarism checkers available online. However, only a handful of them is reliable enough to run reports upon.

Plagiarism checking is a crucial thing for students, researchers, and webmasters. It is the reason that nobody should take the chance and compromise with quality. Further, the risk of losing your data to someone else is always there with free online tools.

List of tools I have mentioned below

    • Turnitin: Plagiarism checker for universities and registered users. (Recommended if available)
    • Grammarly: Grammar checker. Human proofreader, and Plagiarism Checker.
    • ProWritingAid: Automatic proofreader, spelling checker and Plagiarism Checker.
    • PlagiarismCheckerX: Amazing plagiarism checker with low cost and useful features. Business version for organizations is also available.

Best Plagiarism Checker Tool for Academic Purpose

Where Turnitin is considered as the best tool for academicians (mainly professors), students require a bit different qualities. For example, their plagiarism checker should be able to detect accidental plagiarism. Also, it should be giving a detailed report to keep a proof of innocence (sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t).

PlagiarismCheckerX and Grammarly can be the best tools for students.

Grammarly comes with additional features like Automatic Proofreading, Grammar and style checking, word-suggestions.

Where PlagiarismCheckerX is an excellent tool with an excellent pricing order.

Best Plagiarism checker for Bloggers and website owners

Now internet laws are becoming harder with time. DMCA, Copyright protection and several other laws are guarding internet data. Also, Google penalties hit hard for those who plagiarize. I would recommend going for Grammarly or ProWritingAid without any hesitation.

Both are exceptional tools and come with proofreading, grammar editing and premium class plagiarism checking.

PlagiarismCheckerX will still be a budget-friendly option for you.

Let’s talk about Best “Free” Plagiarism Checkers

When you get something for nothing, you just haven’t been billed for it yet. ~Franklin Jones

This quote applies quite well here. Nobody should compromise the safety of his (or her) work by uploading data to some unreliable server. It would cost even more than the price of a plagiarism checker.

The best thing I love about PlagiarismCheckerX, you don’t need to upload your content to their servers. Your data stays at your machine, and it gets compared with over 16 billion web-pages, PDFs and other work.

If you can afford Grammarly, go, get it. If Not, give PlagiarismCheckerX a try.

Note: PlagiarismCheckerX works on Windows only. It is available for seven international languages and provides unlimited membership.

Since plagiarism checker tools can only detect online material which is electronically available, use them wisely.

    Update

Yesterday, I received an email from ProWritingAid regarding their upcoming New Browser plug-in and MS Word integration. Another good reason to consider.
