My brother is learning 3d modelling and character development from Udemy and Pluralsight.
He loved the platform very much. But some creators (tutors) didn’t like the fact that Udemy decides the price.
What are some pros and cons of Udemy (as a student and teacher both)?
I wanted to learn Hebrew through Udemy. I found this platform way better than other Youtube videos and free training courses. Udemy is just like any other platform out there. Some courses are excellent, some are ok and some are really bad. It is just a matter of choice.
Udemy is a huge library of over a hundred thousand courses as reported in their recent blog. Which makes it stand out from rivals like Lynda and Coursera. I have enrolled in “Website development in WordPress” courses. My personal experience with the platform is amazing.
The instructor provides tonnes of value. The community is very active and almost every question I ask gets clear in no time.
But this experience can be totally different for some users. As my last course on Search Engine optimization in Udemy was not good. The course was presented as a revealing one but ended as a basic beginner’s course.
Pros of Udemy – for Students
The wide range of courses in almost all the topics.
Course completion certificate.
Highly educated trainers.
Active community and tutors to help you at every stage of learning.
The mobile application is available to learn anywhere.
Lifetime access for all the courses.
Cons of Udemy – for Students
Udemy is not a place to get an authorized certificate.
Some courses are overpriced.
